board of Realtors^® - (also called an "association of Realtors^®?) a local group of real estate licensees who also maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors^® (NAR) and a state association of Realtors^®. Local boards of Realtors^® may own or operate the local multiple listing service (MLS), although the recent national trend has been to separate board and MLS organizations. Members are bound by a code of ethics in their dealings with one another and with the public at large.
