FICO - a credit scoring method developed by the Fair, Isaac Company. FICO considers such factors as an individual's length of residence at a particular location, length of employment, type of job, financial obligations, amount of total available credit, amount of credit used, history of payments, and the length of time that credit has been established. The score is dynamically generated each time a credit report is generated. Higher scores are equated with a lower risk to a lender. See also credit report and credit scoring .
