fee simple conditional - a potential fee estate that requires the occurrence of some condition before the transfer is completed. An example is a grant by Abel to Abel's daughter Abigail provided that she marry before the age of 30. If Abigail has not married by that time, the estate is defeated, and is transferred to another party named by Abel in the granting instrument.
