good faith purchaser - a bona fide purchaser of real property who takes possession of the property unaware that there is a cloud on the title. Courts will generally protect good faith purchasers of property against later claims, even if there was a serious flaw in title, as long as the purchaser did not actually know of the flaw. Title insurance offers more certain protection against similar risks. See also bona fide.
