hereditaments - all things capable of being inherited, including real and personal property. Corporeal hereditaments are substantial and physical, including land, livestock, and furniture. Incorporeal hereditaments are those property rights appurtenant or growing out of the corporeal. An example of an incorporeal hereditament would be a lifetime estate in a right to receive rents or royalties.
