A net acre is usually a remaining area expressed in acres after the dedication of land for public use (streets, sidewalks, utilities, schools, fire stations, etc.), or the reservation of common areas such as a condominium complex's tennis courts, swimming pools, clubhouses, etc., are established, on which housing or commercial structures may be built.
