reasonable - fair, proper, suitable under the circumstances. Contract law often imposes a "reasonableness" standard on the parties for acts that are not specifically described in the contract. For example, if a real estate purchase contract allows a buyer to review and approve the preliminary title report, any disapproval of the report must generally be reasonable. An unreasonable disapproval may be a breach of contract.
