termite report - the written findings of a termite inspection. A termite report will generally follow a format adopted by the applicable state pest control board. It will disclose the presence or absence of active infestations of termites and other wood-destroying organisms and identify any wood structurally compromised by such damage. It will offer recommendations, and, usually, an estimate for the work needed to eradicate the organisms and repair any structural damage. Methods of eradicating termites include local chemical treatment, whole-house fumigation, microwaves, heat, and cold. See also termite, termite clearance, and termite inspection.
