Uniform and Model Acts ? a variety of comprehensive laws that have been adopted or proposed for adoption throughout the nation as controlling state law in a number of areas. The goal is to establish uniformity among states in such areas as commercial law, building codes, land sales, consumer credit, partnership, and landlord/tenant law. These Acts are drafted or reviewed and approved by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. See also Uniform Building Code, Uniform Commercial Code, Uniform Land Sales Practices Act, Uniform Partnership Act, Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, and Uniform Simultaneous Death Act.
